HumanKind Consulting: Expanding Reach and Seeking New Partnerships in 2026

After more than 17 years of service with SHRM at both the local and state levels—including over 15 years with Louisville Society for Human Resource Management (LSHRM) and two years as Public Relations Director for KYSHRM—I am proud to continue my journey as Founder and Principal Consultant of HumanKind Consulting LLC.
This chapter is not only about honoring my legacy of advancing the HR profession, but also about expanding HumanKind’s reach and building new client partnerships. HumanKind Consulting is rooted in the belief that people-first systems create lasting impact, and in 2026, I am focused on scaling that mission nationally through:
Fractional HR leadership and on-site support
Workshops, training, and tailored consulting engagements
Strategic compliance audits, employee relations guidance, and leadership coaching
HumanKind exists to help organizations design HR solutions that honor both people and purpose.
A Legacy of Leadership, Shaping the Future
My business and volunteer leadership journey has prepared me to serve organizations with both vision and execution. Highlights include:
Leading LSHRM to national recognition with the SHRM Pinnacle Award as Chapter President.
Providing continuity and strategic counsel as President Emeritus of LSHRM.
Driving statewide initiatives with KYSHRM in certification advocacy, diversity and inclusion, and digital engagement.
Strengthening coalitions and amplifying voices through service with the NAACP- Louisville Branch, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and community initiatives.
These experiences have equipped me to partner with organizations navigating change, growth, and transformation.
Looking Ahead: Clients and Career Opportunities
While HumanKind Consulting remains my primary platform for impact, I am also open to exploring a full-time W-2 role within an organization in 2026. The right opportunity will allow me to bring my expertise in HR systems, leadership coaching, and inclusive impact strategy directly into an organization’s culture and operations.

Thank you to KYSHRM for recognizing my two-year term with Outstanding Leadership gifts—it has been an honor to serve. I look forward to seeing the great work my friend Jose M. Najera, SHRM-CP, will accomplish in the PR Director role, and I wish the 2026 KYSHRM and Local SHRM boards across Kentucky much success.
